Fascinating.  Ed also believes in fake news or false advertising, at least according to his last post a week or more back.  He predicted that the hurricane Irma was all hype and not the biggest storm of all time.  Whether coincidence or otherwise, he got it right. (Not to suggest it was not bad, just not as bad as advertised).

Our entire media system is built on bigger and more exaggerated hype.  Whether you are trying to say your product is better or you want to say some disaster is worse than all the others, media resorts to hyper exaggeration.  Here is Ed's post that I refer to:
