OnMyWay Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Looks like a child safety seat law might be on the way! I wonder how that will apply to 5 kids on a moto? http://www.topgear.com.ph/news/motoring-news/congress-bill-requiring-child-seats-a00013-20170920?utm_source=Facebook-TopGear&utm_medium=Ownshare&utm_campaign=20170920-fbnp-news-requiring-child-seats-fbfirst

Popular Post Queenie O. Posted September 21, 2017 Popular Post Posted September 21, 2017 It's very disheartening here in Cebu. Many laws/bills that make sense for the common good, have no "teeth" and consequences--- many are not enforced at all or only in some areas and jurisdictions. 6

Dave Hounddriver Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Do they still enforce the seat belt rule in large cities like Cebu? It was just coming in when I moved away from there and they were ticketing people for no seat belt use at the time. I saw last visit they are strict on motorcycle clothing still. Need long pants, helmet and real shoes at a minimum. So there are some laws enforced but its hard to know when and where they will be enforcing them.

Dave, unfortunately a lot of those rules have gone by the wayside. Helmets are still required, but only in the city and surrounding areas, but policing is not really consistent.
