. As I was once looking for funds for helping a kid with Leukemia, I got either a denial of service or no response.

Doc, if this is the little girl I went to see in Silliman children's ICU for you, I am sorry that we could not do more on that day or that week as we had Norbert (Nutz2u2) so ill upstairs in the Adult ICU but I am sure what we left was at least a means for the Family to Eat  for a few days.

I was in a Rotary club a couple years ago, and after Yolanda we built an elementary school for a poor barangay.  By that I mean one of our members got in touch with a US charity and they donated the money, so we could hire workers.  I have a friend whose charity does cleft lip surgeries, and his money either comes from his own pocket, or from the US.  Big projects tend to happen faster with foreign money.

If there is a local Rotary or Lions club they may know of some foreign money you can get.

Yeah Jack you got it. She died several weeks later due lack of fund to keep her chemotherapy running. :571c66d400c8c_1(103):Approximately 30 charities in US, EU, Switzerland and Philippines was asked for help but we got none. Now the same with that kindergarten. Even an US based charity specialised on educations did not wanted to help (see posting more above).

Very sad, we saw the Mother  a few days before she ( the child)  Died but the information we had to hand was too little too late.

Best of luck mate but as others and indeed me have said it will be a long hard road BUT did you think about Tim's Idea

Thanks Jack. But as a swiss guy, I assume, it will be very difficult to contact an US rotary or lions club.

This person was called to me being the responsible for that project.

Never assume my friend, where there is a will there will be away, presume all things can be positive if we know where to look:wink:

Actually I meant a local Rotary or Lions club. They may have associations with foreign clubs.  The club I was in (Iloilo has over a dozen of them) had a sister club in S Korea that gave lots of money. Also, the local club had a lot of US contacts.

Unfortunately I never got them interested is doing any projects - they all seemed to have their own pet projects.
