Average salary in the Philippines is p45,000???

I have an MA in Linguistics and make p20,000.

When I met my wife, she was working 20 hours a day and making about p2,000 a month, that she shared with 9 family members.

BTW-Doesn't the PRESIDENT only make like p30,000 a month?

When I got my first good job in Canada I was making $1.44 an hour, and it was good money.  This kind of anecdotal evidence has no meaning out of present day context.

True because when I first started work 8-6 mon to fri and 8 - 1 on a Saturday I was on 1400 pesos. Annually that works out at 70k,When I finished work (different job) my annual salary was around 3.5 million.
