Mark E Smith of the postpunk band The Fall has died aged 60. Smith was the Fall really as the different band members numbered 66 with himself as the only constant. He once famously stated that "if it was him and your granny on bongos it would still be the Fall. He was the vocalist but not in the traditional sense, as he was more prone to musing/ranting in his delivery. He formed the band in 1976, since then there have been 31 studio albums and 32 live albums. 

I personally own 31 albums and watched them live on numerous occasions, actually got to roadie for them once.

This is a sad day for me and many others.
