I went to a restaurant (all you can eat) in Dalaguete a few months ago,it was recommended by friends who go there often. It was 250 peso each but the food sucked.I don`t do these any more as 1 I don`t eat that much in one go and 2 the food is not always to my taste. So for me they are a waste of money which more often than not I come away feeling hungry.I would rather go somewhere I like the food and eat there.

These buffets seem to be getting more popular but do me a favour don`t ask me as eff off may offend you:mocking:

What do you people think of these places?

Nah, I'm with you.  I don't eat enough to make it worth the price.

All you can eat buffet, are here too in Derby, Emma loves them talk about getting your money's worth and where the hell she puts it all I never know, me I just eat a plate full then I am stuffed.

It's to pricey for what I eat plus I am never that hungry too.

Vikings have just opened a branch in San Fernando Pampanga, I believe they originate from the MOA but you are talking 900p per head. More than just rice and soup though.

In my experience buffets run by restaurants that only have them on Sunday mornings are pretty bad, and only offer the basic Filipino food, we normally order off the menu. However as mentioned before Vikings has never disappointed me and has a large variety of international food, the only draw back is they are usually crowded and quiet noisy. For a real treat though the casinos around MOA all have some really, really good buffets, a bit pricy but really good.

Agree with all posters, most locals appear more concerned with quantity over quality. Total waste of time and money. Half the buffet is left overs.

I was thinking the same thing about buffets.  Currently vacationing in BGC and being an early riser, my choices for breakfast are limited so I end up eating the Hyatt buffet (1400 Peso) or the Shangri La buffet (1200 Peso).  They both serve a lot fancy dishes and the atmosphere is elegant, but the food is all mediocre at best.  I never end up getting my moneys worth at either places.
