sonjack2847 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 (edited) I went to a restaurant (all you can eat) in Dalaguete a few months ago,it was recommended by friends who go there often. It was 250 peso each but the food sucked.I don`t do these any more as 1 I don`t eat that much in one go and 2 the food is not always to my taste. So for me they are a waste of money which more often than not I come away feeling hungry.I would rather go somewhere I like the food and eat there. These buffets seem to be getting more popular but do me a favour don`t ask me as eff off may offend you What do you people think of these places? Gary D Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Vikings have just opened a branch in San Fernando Pampanga, I believe they originate from the MOA but you are talking 900p per head. More than just rice and soup though.

Forum Support Popular Post Mike J Posted February 13, 2018 Forum Support Popular Post Posted February 13, 2018 Did not care for them in the USA, and care for them even less here because . . . . on a visit to Cebu several years back we took some of the relatives to an "all you can choke down without getting sick" in Cebu City. I was already eating as a tour bus arrived and a large group of Korean tourists poured out and descended like a flock of seagulls on the buffet line. I noticed one of the men standing in front of the buffet, maybe deciding what to eat? Suddenly he took a deep breath, leaned forward, and sneezed. There were no sneeze shields over the food, he did not turn his head, cover his mouth, or back away, nothing. I could actually see a fine spray as it arched out over the food. That my friends is an image that will remain indelibly etched on my memory for a LONG time. 2 3 1
Forum Support scott h Posted February 13, 2018 Forum Support Posted February 13, 2018 In my experience buffets run by restaurants that only have them on Sunday mornings are pretty bad, and only offer the basic Filipino food, we normally order off the menu. However as mentioned before Vikings has never disappointed me and has a large variety of international food, the only draw back is they are usually crowded and quiet noisy. For a real treat though the casinos around MOA all have some really, really good buffets, a bit pricy but really good.
RBM Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Agree with all posters, most locals appear more concerned with quantity over quality. Total waste of time and money. Half the buffet is left overs.

Currently vacationing in BGC and being an early riser, my choices for breakfast are limited so I end up eating the Hyatt buffet (1400 Peso) or the Shangri La buffet (1200 Peso). They both serve a lot fancy dishes and the atmosphere is elegant, but the food is all mediocre at best. I never end up getting my moneys worth at either places. For Breakfast? Man they sure saw you coming that's like a weeks rent for some locals 2
