PaulB Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 (edited) All See below story. Why oh Why?? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5399233/Brit-probed-letting-drunk-tourists-ride-buffalo-NAKED.html A British man who has sparked outrage by offering naked buffalo rides for tourists is being investigated by police. Liam Cox had been running his 'drunken carabao tour' on the remote holiday island of Siargao in the Philippines for several years. But the expat caused fury earlier this month when he posted pictures online of a nude couple riding one of the beasts while covered in mud. A naked man was stood watching them fooling around on the buffalo, which was declared the national animal of the Philippines by former president Emilio Aguinaldo. Police filed a case of 'grave scandal' against the surfer while local officials slammed him for 'disrespecting the culture'. It is the latest incident of westerners being accused of offensive behaviour in more conservative countries. Inspector Joel Liong, Chief of Police in Surigao City, said today: 'Police have filed a case against Mr Liam Cox a British national. 'The case against him is that he caused grave scandal by insulting the culture and traditions of the Philippines. 'We have filed the case against him and the people who were involved in the vi The file has been passed to prosecutors who will now decide how to proceed and what punishment will be taken against Liam Cox. 'He admitted that he was involved with the nakedness and said that the group had been drinking a lot of wine and liquor during the day time.' Cox took the pictures of the drunken guests riding naked on the carabao animal and uploaded to social media. He then deleted them after outrage from local residents. Police seized the pictures and are using them as evidence in their case against him. The activity involves tourists getting drunk and riding carabao while being led around by locals. Earlier pictures show a shaven-headed man riding a carabao naked. Philippines National Police Provincial Director Superintendent Antony Maghari said he had ordered the Chief of Police in General Luna to conduct operation and arrest anyone who posed nude while riding a carabao. Supt Maghari said: 'Don't disrespect Siargao! The PNP acted after Philippine Councilor's League President and SP Ex-Officio Member Marlon Coro exposed the pictures.' Cox told local media that he regretted what had happened and apologised for any offence caused. He said: 'In light of recent events, it has come to our attention that some of the photos from our Carabao Ride that were posted on our social media pages caused quite a public stir. 'We sincerely apologise to anyone whose decency and good custom may have been offended. 'The ones we posted were behind-the-scenes photos of a shoot in the mountains with our friend who is an international tattoo model. 'No private parts nor any indecent pose were shown. Rest assured, consent was given by all participants across all angles of this happenstance. All photos have now been taken down. Again, we are sorry if you felt slighted.' It comes after 77 people were rounded up in Cambodia and accused of pornographic dancing. Yesterday one of the four Britons to be deported from the country, Tom Jeffries, told of the ordeal he faced in Siem Reap prison over a 'twister-style sex game'. The men were among a group of 10 foreigners arrested in the raid on the 'Let's Get Wet' event at a rented villa in the holiday hotspot Siem Reap province, home to the ancient Angkor Wat ruins. Another Brit, 32-year-old Paul Harris, was also arrested in the round-up. He was manager at the Angkor Wat pub where the events began. The events have been permanently cancelled and he has been freed. .................................................................................................... Dave Hounddriver Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Brit-probed-letting-drunk-tourists-ride-buffalo-NAKED Hmmm. I understand he is an idiot for disrespecting the local culture. I do not know if he broke any laws, but I bet it will hurt when he gets "probed". Does that happen while in prison do you suppose?

Jake Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Has anybody rode a carabao before? Even with Levis on, those coarse hairs on the back of the carabao are very irritating. Anyway, I hope the govt and the PNP deport all those responsible immediately.

Jollygoodfellow Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 What I see is just someone having fun and maybe making peso but at the same time not knowing the consequences. He, possibly had no idea of what could happen but it's a reminder for all of us that what might be fun back home might mean years locked up here.
