Any Mini-Cooper Fans Out There?

Happened to be on the Subic beach when a Mini-Cooper club pulled in last Sunday!  They all looked to be in great shape.

They were here in Dumaguete a couple months back and there were some other real sharp looking BMW cars with them.  I could have sworn one was the BMW i8.

Du30 destroys illegal imports.......

Pity he didn't just confiscate them, sell them off and give the proceeds to the poor!

Only ever owned one mini and managed to write it off (another story)

But saw this one while on holiday a couple of years ago

Thanks.  The one I saw was a bright color, yellow or orange I cannot remember.  So did not see that one in the pics of the wrecks.  Maybe its a legal on.

As I read the story, that is what was done in the past that led to more illegal imports because the customs people are allowing them in, tipping off the cops to confiscate them and buying them cheap at the customs auction.  Its all part of the same scam so the only way to stop it is to destroy the coveted object, that being the luxury car.

Minis are fine but you have to keep up the maintenance if you are going to keep it and some of it can be involved, like walnut shell blasting the valves to remove carbon build-up.
