Congrats..... The agent who sold me the land did the paperwork for us and I was impressed by his meticulous and professional attitude. Then I asked him if he knew anybody who could do plans and blueprints. That also went without a hitch. He asked who I was going to use as a builder and as I didn`t know anybody here I asked for recommendations. He told me his uncle was a builder so I said ok lets talk. His uncle came down and he was asking me questions which led me to believe that he knew what he was on about. So I hired them and so far so good.I think I just got lucky. When we visit the site the workers and his uncle ask us questions and listen to what we have to say.I see no reason why it wont come in on budget unless I change anything. We did have to change the design of the rentals which made it more expensive but I can see where that money is going. At the moment I would recommend them to anybody. Hopefully it will go as planned or Brett cant have his shed. 6

The one thing I would do different (on my house, if I had to do it again) is to push the contractor to put a ground in to all the electrical outlets. Its not required by code so they don't do it unless you push them. Its not all that expensive to do it while building but its an expensive add-on if you want to do it later. Just my opinion.

Just to be safe I checked and he says yes he will be fitting a ground rod
Reboot Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 The wonders of electricity are more exciting without ground rods. It's more fun in the Philippines. 1
