Has rainy season for 2018 started?

We have had rain the last 4 days,not a lot but enough to dampen down the dust.

Yeah--isn't that something Mike!  I agree with your wife about summers in the past and presently.  When I first experienced weather in Cebu, the dry seasons were not that long and although it was sunny and hot there was usually a cloudburst and a short period of rain pretty much every day.  May for as long as I can remember though, has always been the hottest, driest month here in the north.

It's about 89 right now with a humid feel like temp around 95+ out here in the yard. No rain in sight..
I like the way the bright sun casts shadows of palm leaves on the pathway where the hanging Lobster Claw Heliconia flowers grow.

Here in Davao the months of April and May have been pretty wet. At my location I recorded 10.56" of rain in April and 8.72" so far this month.

isnt it so funny? it can just threaten to rain and the power will go off? truth is that some one some where over the mountain here is catching a hell of a storm and thats what happened to the power lines or the stations when it goes off like that.

mam, if thats your yard im in awe. we dont have it so tropical here as that. its not lush here even in the forests. different zones i suppose.

Here in Angeles we lost power again last night for about 45 minutes but got very little rain. 

Love how the Viagra sellers on Walking Street suddenly have umbrellas to sell at the slightest hint of rain.

mam, if thats your yard im in awe. we dont have it so tropical here as that. its not lush here even in the forests. different zones i suppose. 

Thanks LoboJohn!  We built our house 4 years ago on land that already had some existing trees and some vegetation.  After that I've just kept adding, as I m going for the

"jungle" look. :)  It's just my hobby .:) It is fun to wander around in..

Hmm......I don't think I would like to wander around in your "jungle".  Just like the Garden of Eden, the Garden of Queenie probably has many serpents.  You don't have any mystical creatures like the Kapre lurking in your garden, do you?

We finally had thunderstorms two nights in a row and last night was a good dump!  Hopefully the drought is over here!
