Just a week or so back the principles were before a Congressional committee and were saying that they hadn't even yet decided how to divide residents up for service between the two water providers. In fact, they had said that they didn't even know how to to it so they asked the Office of the President to do it for them.

I fear this cleanup is going to be like so many things are here: Onay, wotay, hreetay, DONE! And blame any failures on someone else.

Would you honestly expect anything else?

I love living here, but I am honest about the foibles... :tiphat:

Even if it does reopen,...What kind of person would book a vacation to a site now known internationally for sewage problems?

It will be packed, as always.  There are enough locals, and South Koreans, to keep them busy. The Chinese casinos will be a big draw as well 😀🍹🇵🇭

I read where the government is mandating that Boracay hotels with a capacity of 50 rooms and over set up their own sewage treatment plants. Can someone explain to me what that would be? I'm only familiar with the large citywide type plants. What do they mean, exactly?

http://www.totalwastewatersystemsuk.co.uk/treatment-plants-60-300-pe There are numerous companies that make sewage/water treatment plants. I have worked on numerous remote work sites with anywhere from 20 to 500 man camps that had there own water/ sewage treatment plants. It can be easily done.
