Then I found out they'd also given us a free-standing fan

Funny.  That is how I got my free standing fan.  It was a deal with a washer/spin dryer that I bought 3 years ago.  Both are still working.  But the stand fan gets in the way when you live in a Tiny House.

Which model do you have?

The stand fan on the patio is a Camel "Stand Fan 'T'" Model CSF 1609C.

We have a desk fan in the bedroom that's a Camel "Desk Fan 'T'" Model CDF412.

stand fan

I thought perhaps the employees had misinterpreted the English when I got my fan.  There is a big difference between a "free standing" fan and a FREE "standing fan".  I think it was supposed to be the former but:

Sorry for the late reply, Jack.  Was sick for a few weeks. I'll pass on the ceiling fans. Found some small rechargable fans at Unitop.

Hi, are they solar rechargeable or AC mains rechargeable?

Some years age I installed ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. The mother in law (master electrician) said because of the size of the blades they used too much electricity, about 1/3 of the floor fan, so wouldn't use them. After a while the blades wharped so got discarded.

Saw a big fight at a bar when a customer kept asking the bartender for Three Crown and Coke, bartender thought he was saying "Free" Crown and Coke.

No, not solar. I has a removeable rechargeable battery. Fan about 4 in. in diameter.
