Hey guys,

I just tuned into this thread and was also pleasantly surprise how we demonstrate civility among some of the most outstanding comments I've read -- pros and cons.  Thank you gentlemen!

However, I'm still scratchin' my ass on how BREXIT was placed on the ballot to begin with.  Was it the following choices:

A -- worsening immigrant problems and BREXIT would make UK more isolated?  Like closing the English Channel or other means?

B -- inequality of qualities of life because of the EURO COIN?  Are most Europeans better off than the Brits?

C -- bankers and politicians on both sides of the English Channel finally got too greedy and got caught and now they want BREXIT to bail them out?

D -- all the above?

And finally, one more question.  And I know this may be a touchy subject and will fully understand how sensitive it might be and be off the table of discussion --- how does IRELAND fit into this picture?

Respectfully Jake

Hi jake

The reason why brexit was placed in the ballot box os complex but i will try to simplify it

Uk independence party  (political party ) was gaining grounds against the Conservative party , this was accelerated when the german chancellor merkil tipped the balance when she oppenned europes doors to unchecked immigration  , she sold the idea as being charitable and being socialist etc

The real reason is that germany badky needed cheap labour for their work firce

Any how  to stop the conservatives loosing the general election , the then pm promised a referendum vote if you voted for the Conservative party

That was the reason they had the brexit vote , the pm did try to get concessions from the eu , but the eu said no

So when the democratic elections were held , the leave vote won by a majority

The remainers have been trying to have it turned around , they dont like democracy when the vote goes against them

Hope this helps

Be careful that you don't hint that Brexiter are racist they get very defensive. Mind you a couple of the knuckle draggers at work yesterday were quite buoyant about the muslims murdered in New Zealand yesterday. They are often making racist remarks in front of the couple of Polish workers. One of them flies the union flag in his front garden which here in the UK tend to be a sign of far right tendencies.

Surprised they don't get along, I went to Krakow a few years ago with a couple of 'brown' guys, that was an experience lol

Yes the black players, I think we have to call them black at the moment, it seems to change daily, get a hard time when playing games in Eastern Europe.

I have spoken to quite a few German and Dutch expats here and they have all said that they do not like the EU as it is now. They also say that if they had a referendum they would vote leave. One German asked me why the UK does not take more refugees and I told him we have enough and after all, it was your chancellor who invited them.

I think one problem which the Uk media doesn't help is that the Brit on the street sees the boat loads of refugees coming across the English channel and thinks it's the EUs fault not realising that leaving the EU could make the problem worst as the French would have no need to hold back and just pass our problem over to us as they could wash their hand of it.

It's get a deal or stay in - parliament will not approve a No-deal Brexit

Just my opinion

A while ago I was expecting a no-deal Brexit but I'm beginning to think that you are more than likely correct.

A while ago I was expecting the majority of democratically elected politicians in the UK to respect the majority who voted to leave.  Now I am beginning to think they, (the politicians), are useless tits.
