Arizona Kid Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 This 2 lane National Highway road widening project, into 4 lanes, from the Noveleta, Rosario area to Cavite City was accomplished over 4 years ago. It's obvious that the contractors got their money. Something is in the way though. A friend from Cavite City lost one of his Barkada buddies to one of those poles after a drinking session. The pics were taken 2 days ago after I picked up my son from school. 1
hk blues Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 It's the same where I am - electricity poles in the middle of the new lane. To be fair, they were in the process of relocating and replacing the poles but didn't quite coordinate the two activities. Another thing I've noticed is the annoying habit of leaving a small unfinished piece which may never be completed. Is it part of the psyche here to ensure there is always a little work to finish to ensure income for the next day?
Arizona Kid Posted December 20, 2018 Author Posted December 20, 2018 Ya. They just finished widening a bridge here and some dope filled a hole with too much cement. It's about 2 inches too high and 2 meters long. Now nobody wants to go at normal speed over it so traffic backs up worse than when it was double lane. Gota love it here in the Phills.

Gary D Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Over over estimated how much cement the forman would steal.

Yes, like over estimating how much wire will be needed. Have you ever seen all the excess wire overhead everywhere?
