stevewool Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Who is right can anyone enlighten me. Emmas mum no dad moved from the province and move to Manila many years ago, worked hard and managed to buy some land then built a home on it. The mum died and over the years the children have moved out and made lives for themselves , so who owns the home. I have been told by Others that the house was 50/50 owned by the parents and if one died there 50% would go to the children so 5 children will get 10% each and if anything happened to the remaining parent we’ll then they would get 20% each. Now I have been told this is incorrect, dad could sign over his share to a single child and there is nothing the others could do about it, but I can’t find out about the other 50% if there ever was. Arizona Kid Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Slippery slope. I read the Star and the Inquirer every morning. Many stories about killings among relatives over land disputes. If I were you I would not get involved. 1

Families don’t you just love them, but do they really love you back. 1

fillipino_wannabe Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 The 50% should be divided into 6 between the 5 kids and the dad. The dad can't give his share to 1 child.
