manofthecoldland Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 (edited) For expats living here for any length of time, it helps to be aware of the 15 National Holidays. Many offices are closed and there are special events planned locally. Today, April 9th, is the Day of Valor (heroism/bravery). Araw nga kagitingan. Its also known as 'Bataan Day' or 'Bataan and Corregidor Day'. For a full listing of the national and school holidays you can check a site like <publicholiday.ph>, which explains their purposes and histories.
