Popular Post Dave Hounddriver Posted June 15, 2019 Popular Post Posted June 15, 2019 Renovations, painting and similar things going on in the Hounddriver house. Lynne is upstairs with the workers doing her bit to paint a little and let the workers know they are being monitored. It helps to keep them from slacking off too much. Me? I'm downstairs watching the youngster and playing computer games. So when Lynne came to check I told her I was working as the Ya Ya, looking after her kid while she was mucking about upstairs. She said "No, a Ya Ya is a female. You are a Yo Yo!" And the guys upstairs heard her and agreed. Yes. Yoyo! I did not know that before but I think being a yo you is better than being a ding dong. They have interesting names for each other in this culture. 3

OnMyWay Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 When people ask my 3 year old daughter her name, she says "Ya ya". When she was born her big sister could not pronounce "Leila" and called her Ya Ya. And it has stuck ever since! So Dave, you are stuck with Yo Yo! 4

Dave Hounddriver Posted June 15, 2019 Author Posted June 15, 2019 With all the comments, I had to look it up. I thought it would be something like a male babysitter but not quite. Click on this screenshot and look at the very last line... about financial help. Yep. We are ALL a bunch of yoyos. Nice to know I am not the only one who is a yoyo

The packaging was very descriptive. it read: Ding Dong Doorbell. So that's what Mr. Dantes is called now. :)
