I think this subject can highlight why you should never come here on short visits, fall in love then plan the wedding and house purchase. 

I'm a relative newbie having lived here just over 3 years but can hand on heart say almost all opinions I had of my female friends since I've been here has changed. 

Women I respected have turned out to be real shi@#. Some I thought were loud and trashy have been fantastic friends. Loving wives have been sleeping around.  God fearing partners have proven to be lying, cheats etc.  

In short you don't know the person until you've lived with them long term.  For some it takes longer before the mask slips.

 My Gran Said a few months before my First Wedding way back in 1968, lovely Girl Boy But beware the Changes as you do not know anyone until you live with them, and Boy was she so Right. and as we say What goes around will come around 

 BTW I am on Year 12 now married to my Filipina now, so as we are still Firmly Together I guess something is right in the Mix
