Forum Support Mike J Posted July 15, 2019 Forum Support Posted July 15, 2019 Amazing to think the flight computer on board had less computing power than a modern pocket calculator and still weighed in at 70 pounds.

Maybe some of you was not born yet , I was 10 and myself and the rest of the family was in the front room around the black and white tv watching it, my dad made us young ones watch it as it was history in the making. Last night on tv they should for 1 hour the build up from the dressing room to the rocket launching towards the moon after circling earth, next week they will show the mon landing. Amazing to watch and yes my dad was right about history being made, I wonder if I will see anything else like that in my life time. My family was going thru some hard times then in AZ. I stayed out of the house as much as possible due to drunken arguments. I listened to the moon landing on my little transistor radio that I took with me when I went riding my bike. I'll never forget it.
