Popular Post Jack Peterson Posted August 18, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2019 I was going to put this in the Filipina Forum but it is not just the ladies at all, We sat down for Lunch yesterday and as the Food arrived so did a couple of Youngsters on the next table to ours which was very Close, So we began to eat when the Girl takes out her comb and starts to comb her hair, Dropping stands about the Table and some on ours, I just looked at her and she said Problema? yep I said, I did not order Human hair or any hair for Lunch, Right over her head it went, Then F....k me if the Boy borrowed her Comb and did the Same, I called the Staff and to my surprise they were asked to leave having been told we have CR's here. Of course there were words said But.......................... Table manners are just not taught here at all in my view 11 1

Sounds like they want and need your business more than theirs. 2

My point was that the ability to survive and grow his business was sufficiently important to address the issue with the kids. This is often not the case where much of the culture revolves around the concept of SIR, Smooth Interpersonal Relationships. Had you not been there, or not said anything, do you honestly think the issue would have been addressed?

RBM Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 Perhaps slightly off topic how ever we were enjoying an excellent Mexican dish in Dumaguete a month or so back. A couple entered with a young kids perhaps 2 years old whom squealed like one has ever heard before. We transferred to the far corner to no avail, the high pitched repulsive squealing continued unabated. Was impossible to eat. We requested management to do something as we are known to them. They respectfully, politely refused. Our feelings were not to request the parents to control their kid as it most likely would escalate. So we just had them pack our food and left. Amazingly other people seem unaffected from this, or alternatively just accepted it. 1 1

I tend to agree with your statement Kev, I used to think that Pinoy have bad manners but the more I thought about it the more I came to the conclusion that good manners have actually never been taught to many of them in the first place. Having said that though, it is annoying when you are the victim of somebody socially inept. 5

For me, it's "Do whatever I like". It's the same attitude for everything here, IMHO. 1
