graham59 Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 (edited) Just bring/buy buy some British and local adaptors Steve. I did bring a load of UK extension leads with 4 and 6 outlets though (FUSED) . Never had any problems using Engish spec gadgets and appliances here, from electric kettles to computers. power tools, games consoles, etc. At least British plugs, extension leads, etc, have fuses in them ! Just don't overload the circuits. The only appliance that has gone tits up is a locally-bought microwave. I have given it a going over with my test meter, and it appears to be a thermal switch which has given up the ghost, so some coming from Lazada. British plugs are QUALITY, properly engineered, and safe, unlike the cheap horrible useless crappy local things here. I find my UK power drills get hot very quickly, I assume it's the 60Hz.

Not had any problems with mine so far...drills and jigsaws (different ones over the past 20+ years). I normally use my big battery-powered one for any outdoor work ...which I suppose isn't affected by such variations.
