However it is really a hassle to remove if ever need happen. I would suggest a weaker adhesive - such as the silicone you were thinking about. Sikaflex is good, if available, or simple silicone sealant available at any hardware store. Screwing 10 feet in the air, Steve? Hmmm... I will think about that...
