rule of thumb. watch the front door. If patients get off a jeepney or tricycle to enter the hospital or if they are dropped of in a new SUV.

Even when you have the money to pay and even when the hospital has modern equipment and facilities sometimes hospitals lack 'emergency departments' in the way that most of us are used to.  The nearest large hospital to me has such niceties as an MRI scanner, CT scanners and other imiging devices, Dialysis facilities, Chemo facilities, a variety of specialists available to see and several modern operating theatres.

What they don't have is a 24 hour emergency department, last time I was sick it was a holiday and the hospital was effectively closed - no treatment available because the Doctors were all on holiday.

Jaguar land rover announced that they are down to two weeks supply of parts 

HSBC share price dropped 6%

The city traders are waiting on China financial figures 

Looks like chinese manufacturing has stopped in certain areas of production 

Wonder how much this will hit the world economy

Toyota and other auto makers along with cell phone makers are about out of many parts as well. It will affect the world economy. The fact ccp is not forthcoming in what's truly going on has an affect as well.

There are some major businesses and investors who think the corona virus will be a black swan event "A black swan is an unpredictable event that is beyond what is normally expected of a situation and has potentially severe consequences."

Even if the virus stays mostly contained in china, with just in time inventory and global trade, any major impact on chinese manufacturing or trade will have a global effect.

I'm connected to Chinese manufacturing through my business.  Right now there are no plans for them to get back to work, they are 'waiting on the government' to approve them to start.  At my house we started taking stock last week of which things we can't live without that come from China.  For us, it comes down to paper products, cleaning products, bathroom products, etc.  So we've been stocking up.

Agree read an article about the black swan recently, the possibilities are unimaginable.

Fear is the big unknown and mis trust so many have on Chinas figures. Noticeable here is far less people in malls and restos, even traffic is less.
