Jack D Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Not only did I receive a check, but I also received a letter from the White House (auto-signed by DJT) in which he gave detailed information on how he's doing a great job with responding to COVID-19, and how he's also doing an outstanding job with helping out all Americans with money problems during this pandemic. Now, I'm waiting to see if DJT and his Senate will approve Nancy Pelosi's House Bill to send more money to Americans. My wife (who has permanent resident status) also received a stimulus check, which is very helpful right now, since her hours at work have been drastically reduced during this pandemic.

I think he meant people living in the Philippines, and you live in the U.S. Correct me if I am wrong. Did you get your check mailed to the Philippines or the U.S.? Jack D Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 I’m living back in the USA and that’s where I got my check. The same goes for my wife from the Philippines.

Since moving here in early 2016 I have only received 2 pieces of regular post mail out of the the 14 pieces my family sent annually for the first 3 years before I told them to stop. Also those first three years I mailed to my family and friends about a dozen Christmas cards and to date none of them have been delivered. That said, any mail that was sent certified registered had been delivered. Last Christmas I received a small package my mom mailed in late October which I received in early Feb. I actually offered a tip to the delivery boy who refused stating, No need sir, part of my job". I just stuffed the p150 back in my pocket in disbelief. The mail system is notoriously bad here, U.S. service members using the P.I. mail system instead of FPO/APO mail was one of the many ludicrous demands by the Philippine congress to extend the contract for the U.S. bases in 1992, along with sailors paying Philippine taxes on their pay, there were just too many show stoppers. 1

earthdome Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 Back on May 6th I received the expected stimulus for my family of 2 adults and one child. Yesterday I received another $1200 stimulus deposit. I don't recall that there is a second stimulus coming so the IRS may have made a mistake and paid twice.

Thanks Retired on Soc Security, checked Get My Payment from IRS says check was mailed Apr 24. PhlPost has suspended delivery from May 14th, about the time the check may have been in the PI....but alas, still no check until Phlpost starts moving mail from Manila. Why the Stimulus didn't get deposited, there must have been a snag from SSA getting direct deposit info. The second Stimulus will be discussed yet in June. Congress on Memorial vacation this week. About 7 or 8 possible distribution methods will be discussed to narrow down to 1. Dems have already voted to approve but Reps killed it before going on vacation! What details do the IRS have on you as to what they will do to determine if you get a bank deposit or a check mailed to who knows where. Please read the whole topic which might give you an idea of what some others experienced. ADDED Watching a Vlogger in Thailand and he just got his check in the mail I guess yesterday. So it appears they are getting out for those who are not getting direct deposit. Edited May 29, 2020 by Jollygoodfellow Added wee bit
