Popular Post Jollygoodfellow Posted April 23, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 23, 2020 Since a lot of members seem to like discussing statistics I decided to investigate some statistics myself. After searching through all online data and visiting the local library where I dusted off the old Encyclopedia Britannica I came to the these conclusions from the data I had studied. 1. Statics prove that you have between 0% to 100% chance of dying from coronavirus. 2. If you dont die from coronavirus you have a 100% chance of dying from something else in your lifetime. END OF REPORT

Why anyone would use it to get current news is beyond comprehension. Many news sites use Facebook or many Facebook users share news straight from the news sites. (Share Button Comes To Mind) So because you are old school you have no idea what Facebook is or how its used. All the big news companies around the world have away to share their articles on social media including Twitter, Facebook and lots of others. The news we read on Facebook is not just someones opinion. So back in your corner.

In days of old I was quite happy that I got my news from various sources and could sift the wheat from the chaff. These days you can find ten sources with word for word reporting. I'm still shocked with the terrible level of reporting from so called professional sites. They have done an amazing job of brainwashing certain sections of the community into their line of thoughts. I'll be honest at times I find I have to bite my tongue with some of my friends when they post articles mocking a certain person when with a 5 second Google you can find the actual true story and not a cut and paste hatchet job. 2

As far as I have seen, the experts agree that unreported is very high. Let's do some math. I will use the numbers for the U.S., right now on Worldometer. Cases 848,735. Deaths 47,663. And I will make estimated death % for 90% unreported, 80% and 70%. Here are the estimated death rates, and CFR. CFR is scary. Death %, not as bad. A big chunk of these will still die though and probably put the rate up to around 1% even in your best case scenario as almost half of the confirmed cases were confirmed in the last 2 weeks. The other guy on here used to keep banging on about the Diamond Princess cruise ship only having 7 deaths (1%), month or so later now and they have 13, nearly 2%.

The deaths will go up but so will the case numbers. That was a fixed point in time estimate. Today the numbers are as shown below in "Now". The "Change" boxes at the bottom are the incremental cases and deaths. The CFR for those new numbers is higher than the average CFR in "Previous", so the "Now" CFR is up a bit and the Death % is up a bit. The rates will move around as outbreaks happen, more testing happens, more people die, etc. My guess would be that the death rate will end up under 1%, but honestly I don't know if they can really get an accurate number.
