Could head north and miss the Phil's We could use one of the outer bands for a good day of downpour here, which is how it looks on the current map. However, then the grass will grow a lot and I will have to mow! 1
manofthecoldland Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Might have to 'scissors' the grass a wee bit, but at least the now dry wells might recharge and the neighbors won't have to work so hard at watering their new, small garden patches. We did get a good wetting last week here N. Panay, but the dry spell is back with a vengence. But I think we're way too far south here. Never thought I'd be looking for rain to come since we're usually singing the 'rain, rain, go away' song most of the year.
Forum Support Mike J Posted May 11, 2020 Forum Support Posted May 11, 2020 We could sure use it in Moalboal. Hot and dry here and there is a water shortage. Too much population for the water supply system.

Let's be careful what we wish for G & G's Sudden Rainfall will raise/wake up the Mosquito and if we are not ready, do we need a rise in dengue on top of all that is happening, Just a thought 1

Not looking foreword to the rainy season, Dengue could be death for people who gets it two times or more especially if one gets SARS COV19.
JDDavao II Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 They are still calling for Yellow Warning rain in Bukidnon and Davao del Norte this evening/tonight while the prediction for the same time period is moderate to heavy rain in Davao City. The storm had slowed down since yesterday, still moving NNW if the reports are correct.

Forum Support Mike J Posted May 11, 2020 Forum Support Posted May 11, 2020 Rain started in Moalboal during the night, still raining and with some distant thunder this morning. Just moderate rain nothing to cause flooding or problems.
