I can see 2 choices:

(1) We'll all being wearing these things forever  and most activities that we enjoy will be ended for good... no more movie theaters, sports arenas, etc.

OR

(2) The world will have to go back to living without fear, by returning to our previous 'normal' lives, and accept the fact that many of us will contract COVID-19.

Without a vaccine that's  exactly what will happen "Herd Immunity" survival of the fittest.

Honestly I think that's unlikely given the Stage 1 and early Stage 2 testing results as presented so far. 

In fact I think the most likely outcome is we're going to end up with a number of competing vaccines of varying efficacy and cost.

Well what is claimed to be a disavantage of wearing a mask for ones own protection has it's advantages for others.

What we are told here in UK, is that if you already have symtoms, wearing a mask prevents droplets from spreading to others,

hence the spread of the virus.......the State of Confusion continues.

If we are to believe everything we are told as to how the virus spreads, Eg; contact with others, touching surfaces contaminated, then touch the face.

By coughing or sneezing near to someone else, by purchasing goods handled by others without cleansing, then we are all Doomed

Let's face the truth, without a vaccine, this virus will keep reappearing until a build up of the body's immune system is strong enough to repell it,

meanwhile many have and will fall victim to it! As said previously we can only slow it down and let it take it's course.

Thank God we have medical staff who have risked their own health to deal with this Pandemic, many have fallen ill as a consequence
