then she had to fill out a contact tracing form

I ran across this for the first time at our local HMR.  I was next door and then I wanted to pop in and quickly see if they have a rolling pin.  He told me to fill in the log which had maybe 6-7 items including address and phone.  I told the guard that if everybody is touching the pen, table and log, I am more likely to catch COVID right there than in the store.  I left and didn't go in.

I see on YouTube in Thailand you have the option of logging your name or using an app that you scan a code everywhere you go so they can trace you if needed. I think the record of where your been only stays in the system for a certain time. Weren't they talking of using it here too not long back?

I think it’s a great idea, but I also think it would only work if the telecom companies got on board and provided free data for when you’re using the app (similar to how they offer it for WasteBook).
