My sincere apologs for wondering if this is a 'wind-up'.

Now I'm properly awake, I can see how it could be.  Everying stated could go pear shaped very quickly.  It's as if someone thought of everything that could go wrong and decided to post it.

Maybes yes, maybes no but no harm in taking it at face value

Given the fact that the OP hasn't responded and after the effort I expended detailing one of his requests, I'll be less likely to provide advice to any similar threads.

Slow clap OP.

There's obviously some bored, loney basement dwellers out there just trolling.

Glass is half full, I've now learnt to ignore the trolls.

I usually wait until there are at least 2 posts by the poster to determine if they deserve the time of day.  As you said in your other post, he seemed to tick all the boxes of bad decision making.

I was thinking the OP is a reincarnation of Dr Barrie J Dent, who asked similar questions on multiple threads, and disappeared without acknowledging any of the very helpful answers?

When the restrictions are over I'm moving to the Philippines permanently

I'm considering entering on 30 day visa free extending and going on visa trips

I have a Filipina partner and our intention is to marry when her annulment is sorted at which time we will be married there

I'm investing the vast majority of what I have in the family's business so my solvency will be hard to prove

I've researched extensively and came up with confusing information about what documents and other requirements there are

so has anyone done this already and what's the best way forward

My apologies for not being prompt in my reply

My partner and I met in Europe with her son who works in Norway

She was here for a year on a Schengen visa and a six month extension

She returned to the Philippines late last year with me supposed to visit in march enough said on that matter

To her ex

That was over 10 years ago her children have disowned him

He's had affairs and children with another woman when still living with my partner

Am I correct in assuming he has more to worry about from the authorities than us

Owning material things in the Philippines is not my primary motive

More just to have a life

I've got loads of experience in my line of work and have been asked to turn up purely in an advisory capacity not actually do physical work

Is that acceptable in the eyes of their law

Let's assume she and her family are genuine and as I've stated is it practical for me to arrive on a tourist basis and eventually gain permanent residence

There is obviously my passport

I have my birth certificate

At what stage do I consider things like financial status ( bank statements)

Will I need a UK police check certificate

Do I need a medical report from the UK

As I said I have read conflicting information on just about everything to do with visas

Whether some of it is incorrect or out of date I'm not sure

Are you asking if the things above are for a visa or to get married?
