We have a neighbor outside our compound (we will call him "N") who likes to enjoy adult beverages. He and his barkada friend (we will call him "F") got together a few weeks back for a drinking session. It was during the session that N & F decided to do a little fishing in N's banka. For some reason they decided the fishing on the Negros side of Tanon Strait would be better. It is only about 18 to 20 kilometers from Moalboal but they still had some beer left, so off they went. They ran out of beer by the time they reached Negros and decided to put ashore and buy some more. They were met by the authorities who promptly put them both in "enforced" quarantine for 15 days. Who would have thought that boating while being drunk is not on the "excused list" for going inter-island. After the 15 day quarantine they were allowed to leave after being warned not to return. When they arrived back in Moalboal they were met by the authorities on this side of the water. If you guessed 15 more days of quarantine, you guessed correctly. And the tongue lashing he has received from the authorities is nothing compared to what N is getting from his wife.
