insite Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 If you've not seen this previously, it is quite stunning: Not just the changes in world car manufacturing leadership (which are plenty sobering) but also the always-moving digital graphic technique. (You can't take your eyes off it!) Note particularly what has happened to the UK, and Russia, and other European countries. And note, especially, what has happened to China. It was not even ON the Top 10 list for the first 50-60 years of this chart. GeoffH Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 I think you need to look at the numbers that the western economies are producing, not just the rise of chinese car manufacturing. If you do the you see that it isn't so much that western countries car manufacture has shrunk, it's just that it hasn't grown and third world countries have caught up (or in chinas case gone well past). 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
