Jenningsjs Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Will an American living in the Philippines be required to pay Philippine income taxes on military disability pay and VA disability pay? I will have no income from labor in the Philippines. Thanks.

You only pay tax from anything earned in the country so no, you wont pay tax. 2

Rich in CDO Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 No, you won't pay taxes on your military disability. I am on Long Term Disability and I pay taxes in the U.S. because I didn't pay the premium, my company did. If you are on on long term disability and you paid the premium to a private carrier, then you don't pay taxes. I'm just happy to only be paying my taxes in the U.S. and not the Philippines also.
