Snowy79 Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 In the UK the ships usually had a detachment of Royal Marines so the women never felt left out.

intrepid Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Sense I was not in the military I have no skin in this battle of jokes but have heard some good ones over the years. Can we place our Army Navy jokes here or start another thread? Hope I can tell this with no offense and just for fun. Why does the Army have mules and the Nave have Marines? Army had first choice!

Good morning officer Danny, now you're being too humble. You wore the blue uniform for 30 years, have been exposed in the most extreme weather conditions, just to serve and protect the public. Your uniform was stained of blood, sorrow, frustration and extended family separation. I will never forget my tears of joy whenever I see a picture of an officer saving someone's life. And you guys run towards a firefight, like any good soldier would do. I salute you SIR and as a former command master chief, USN.....I hereby appoint you to the rank of MasterBater. Just like me. By the way Army......good choice on the mule, especially the virgin ones. Edited August 29, 2020 by Jake 1 1
graham59 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 My dad was 30 years Royal Navy...then did 15 years teaching at Army college. My Granddad was 35 years British Army. (Major). As a kid in Singapore, when our school buses crossed paths , we used to shout out the windows "Army's barmy ! " They used to shout back "Navy's crazy !" . That's about all I can contribute...but the British navy is referred to as the 'Senior Service'.
