Popular Post Heeb Posted September 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2020 I think most come here for the females, not all but most, and when they get married they no longer have any reason to deal with the problems in this country, a lot of the 5 year statistics are inline with the timeline of dating then marriage or marriage and having a child which the expat doesn't want to raise over here, some of those same people will divorce and find themselves back over here to do it all over again. What I don't like are the hypocrites that sing the praises of this country and then when they get what they come for they turn on it because it no longer fits, I'm not saying that anyone replying on this forum fits that bill, it's just my opinion really. I've been coming to the Philippines since 1980 when I was an 18 year old and nothing has changed except for now there's more people, traffic, huge malls and cell phones, it's not going to change as long as the population keeps exploding. I just came back from 2 months stateside and it was great for a time, awesome weather, food, beer, weed but I felt alone even though I met with friends for beers and my mom and brother were at my house, I didn't really have anything to say anymore other than talk about politics and the problems in the USA which has become like discussing the existence of god, it can't be resolved and is just depressing. I'm back here now and all the things that frustrated me before I left are still here including the dang heat rash I had kicked already but I still feel like I'm somehow living and not just waiting to die. For me It's the old argument of paradise in the afterlife if you believe in such a thing, can living for eternity in everlasting bliss singing praises to god get boring after awhile? would you miss life on earth even with all it's flaws? 7

Seems kids all over the world including the Philippines are abandoning traditional games for new technologies.

Not me! If things don't work out, I'm heading down south to sunny Mexico... and I would skip on doing another marriage.

Many like myself coming from a colder climate just love the fact of shorts and slippers 24/7 plus the many advantages that come with living here. yes its not without issues, most can be avoided using common sense plus essential to have the right partner.

Ah Mike, reminds me of an old saying, " Many a fine tune has been played on a old fiddle. " 2

We just have to put up with the antagonism from time to time when we voice the opinion that the Philippines is not paradise. Truth is: "There she stood in the doorway I heard the mission bell And I was thinkin' to myself 'This could be heaven or this could be hell" Hello Dave, if I remember correctly you been in Canada for a couple of months now? I am curious to know if you during that period ever regretted your move to Canada and wished that you had stayed in Philippines?

However, when I moved from Canada to the Philippines over a dozen years ago I also had zero regrets. Seize the day.
