Viking Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-10-23/philippines-lets-foreigners-in-eases-travel-rules-for-citizens This sounds good, but in other places I read that it was only for foreigners with investment visas. Whatever it is, it´s a good start, if it is true
Popular Post Jollygoodfellow Posted October 23, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2020 Go to the BI Facebook page. It tells you almost every day of updates. All 13 type visa are now allowed. I did not read your link as I rather see the updated or best we can get info direct or until it changes.
Gator Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 I find the below site also helpful for getting accurate info not only about the ban, but the local restrictions as well. Its not always updated on a timely basis as sometimes the resolutions appear a day or two after they’ve been passed. RBM Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Opening up? Well yup guess so if one can jump through the hoops to get from A to B. Love to hear comments from members on this. Mine is such.....As much as love to travel here just not interested to go through the processes for same. Accordingly we are limited to more local travel until restrictions are eased. RBM, this is really going to be one of those that is in the eye of the beholder For me and my wife, all is almost back to normal. We can go to all of our favorite restaurants, malls, SnR, grocery shopping, take a drive to the nearest province (which is really all we did before c19) and now even the casino. We "could" even go to our favorite resort.......IF......we wanted to jump through the hoops of getting a test with in 48 hours of check in. (we will wait for the saliva test or vaccine for that). So for us things have "opened up!". Granted we have no relatives of working age here, they are all overseas, so we have not been effected by relatives being unemployed. So for us,,,,life is pretty much back to normal
graham59 Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 The Chinese POGO workers and their (visa) cheating, have upset the apple cart for ALL foreigners, it seems. We're all tarred with the same brush. No doubt things will settle down eventually... when common sense prevails.
