Paranoia is another one of your attributes read the post again I think you'll find I was referring to th Asian fixers arrangers or whatever other term you want to call them

I have been looking without success for a post here from Snowy , no luck , my experience yesterday is one I hope he reads.

Bought a dash cam on Shoppe for P1100 delivered  to door, went on line to find an installer. As per normal no reply on FB or texts....So next step, in spite of the rain went to the small shop which fortunately was close by. After about 4 people pushing in front of me managed to talk to the office girl......Yes sir can do it in an hour......P800.

Returned and job started immediately, in no time at all a boy whom was handicapped had part of the hood lining removed back panel, tail lights etc....

1.1/2 hours later car like new with no trace of wires and cam working perfectly, this amazing guy earned a nice tip.....So Snowy they are around and what a lift it is to experience this.

Mr Gangdang loosen up and keep posting. Jack is a friend of mine and sometimes likes to get a bite....your the perfect fish.

I've come across a lot of very helpful people also but maybe I have given up before getting to the stage of finding more.  As you say it's normal for no one to return calls, text, messages.  That seriously does my head in especially when you know you have good money to give them and they plead poverty.

I'm a pretty technical person and good with my hands so after no one got back to me I'd have done it myself.  Similar when I wanted a wifi mast installed, " Yes sir we can do that" then no one turned up. Phoned three suppliers of internet for a survey, " Yes sir our technician will be out today or tomorrow," not one turned up.  I could list a dozen other examples.  My Filipino mates all tell me if you want something done you must go in person and sit and wait or you will go to the back of the queue.  Maybe that's where the habit of pushing in comes from and why Filipinos are great at queuing.

Probably why being a fixer is almost a recognised trade here.  I'll admit that a couple of times I've decided that laying on a hammock on the beach for a few hours is far more productive than sitting in a basketball court with one hundred others waiting to be called forward is far more important to me and well worth a few hundred pesos.  I'd like to raise a glass to the fantastic fixers.

Yes Snowy how ever we are not all good with our hands, nor do most of us want to lay under the car to install the rear camera. Plus equipment and testers come into it, Honestly why would one bother for the sake of P800. 

Its kinda par for the course trying to receive any reply here for anything, your friends gave good advice going to the shop or company concerned.

I'm just trying in a round about way to show how two people getting the same thing done can have a completely different perspective on things here and neither would be wrong.
