Sorry, but I lost track of a topic from a while ago about who is permitted into the Philippines these days. Anyway, I just received this from PRA (Philippine Retirement Authority) regarding entry now permitted for SRRV holders - with conditions - and thought it might help:

PRA ADVISORY NO. 01-02-2021

SUBJECT : UPDATED PROTOCOLS FOR ENTRY TO

THE PHILIPPINES BY SRR VISA HOLDERS

(per IATF Resolution No 98, S. 2021 dated 04 February 2021)

PRA members/SRRV holders are informed of the following starting 16 February 2021

1. Holders of valid Special Resident Retirees’ Visa (SRRV) are required to secure an Entry Exemption
Document (EED) from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) which shall be presented to the
Bureau of Immigration (BI) upon arrival in the Philippines. To facilitate the application and
issuance of the said EED, SRRV holders are advised as follows:

a. To request the issuance of EED directly to PRA using the Re-Entry Form
https://forms.gle/58kNKnEMBZECUTz9A and send through reentryrequest@pra.gov.ph.
The said form shall be accompanied with photocopies of a.) Bio-page of current passport;

b.) P.R.A. ID Card; c.) SRR Visa; and d.) Order issued by the Bureau of Immigration (for
SRRV implemented on the Order).

b. Thereafter, PRA shall endorse the request to the Department of Tourism (DOT) who will
then transmit the same to the DFA for the issuance of the EED.

c. All Entry Exemption documents issued by the DFA shall be emailed back by PRA to SRRV
holders concerned for the latter to proceed with their booking/s and/or re-bookings.

2. In addition to the EED, SRRV holders permitted entry into the Philippines shall also be required:

a. To secure and present the pre-booked accommodation for at least six (6) nights in a
quarantine hotel/facility accredited by tourism and health agencies. Failure to present
upon arrival of the pre-booked accommodation shall be a valid ground to deny entry or
deport a SRRV holder by the Bureau of Immigration.

b. To undergo RT-PCR Covid 19 testing at their respective quarantine hotel/facility on the six
(6th) day from date of arrival in the Philippines and other applicable quarantine and
isolation protocols as prescribed by the Department of Health (DOH).

3. All requests and subsequent issuances of Entry Exemption Documents are free of any charges
and/or fees.

4. For access to hotels/facilities accredited by Tourism and Health agencies, please visit the links

Although It cannot be opened Tom I have this from another source, However, this is only if you already have that visa, It would appear that applications for it have been Suspended so for a way around the Many and varied Regulations it would seem a non Starter at this Juncture in time:tiphat:

Sorry, Jack... I had problems trying to get this posted... it should be okay now.

I get your point. I only posted this for those already having the SRRV who may not be aware that they can now return to Philippines.

Of course, if one does not already have this visa, then this is worthless info for them...

The upshot is now that as SRRV holders we are now allowed to re-enter Philppines....BUT.. and of course knowing the way this govt works theres a BUT..

They want us to apply for an re-entry permit... ( the form indicated above )... one application for a great many people going through 3 govt agencies....Many of us are wondering how long thats going to take. A few I know have completed the requirements and are now in " hurry up and wait" mode.  I suspect it might be a long wait.

But the good news is completing the application is free... for the moment :)

Any special allowances for those vaccinated?  Got my second shot two weeks ago so I should be 95% immune, per CDC.

Given that no one ( except for some Presidential Security Guards and POGO workers have been vaccinated here, and its unproven as yet whether they had vaccine or saline solution ) ) showing you have been vaccinated in a nation where 99.99999999999999999999% havent been vaccinated or even seen a vaccine wont allow or provide any line cutting here.

They keep moving the dates as to when any vaccines will actually be delivered here. So being vacinated is good for you and your personalt safety but wont give you any advantages here yet....plus of course many case of fake vaccines on sale here..

:89: How or more to the point why is this possible if as you say there is no Vaccine available yet?

It was reported back in January but never really substantiated that around 100,000 POGO workers had received the vaccine.  Of course, as the vaccine was not approved for use here it must have been done "under the radar" so to speak. If it ever happened as we know the general anti-Chinese sentiment can easily give legs to such rumours.
