Bottled gas leak detector & safety cutoff switch?

I've had two internal gas tanks empty over night due to leaking hoses.  One hose was only installed three months previously.  It was a rented property and the gas bottle stuck under the sink.  I made a habit of switching the gas on and off after every use as the quality of the rubber hose was suspect even from new.

My wife has always done this - after every use she turns off the supply.

Wheres the switch? I had one before when it was just a countertop burner but now with an oven the hose is hidden in the back.

Unfortunately the switch is on the regulator head on top of the gas bottle.

Yep...luckily our cylinder is inside the same unit as the stove/cooker so it's easy enough to access.

Our gas tank is outside so I don't think we'd be going out there to turn it on / off every time we cook.

I'm still trying to the info on the two different Solane tanks, AS and POL.

Same here.  I always turn off after use.
