KAL and Asiana will merge with KAL buying Asiana. The merger will finalize in 2024.

Big hit for competition in the Korean Int'l market.  I was working in air cargo in the late 80's when Asiana started up, and customers benefited greatly.

Probably go a good deal with all major airlines hemorrhaging money at an alarming rate.

I never flew on KAL but have used Asiana many many times and in their frequent flyer club.  Hope they keep the same excellent service I've always experienced with Asiana.😀

We've flown Asiana the past ten years except in one instance KAL. I would say they the service was identical, highly recommended. I'm unsure if this will cause prices to rise or have no effect. What do you guys think?
