Significant 6.6 quake hits near Balayan, Philippines

An earthquake of magnitude 6.6 occurred only 20 minutes ago 31 km south of Balayan, Philippines, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate depth of 130 km beneath the epicenter near Balayan, Philippines, early morning on Saturday 24 July 2021 at 4:48 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.

Bit of an early wake up call .... 4.50am......everything in my condo building trembled a bit but not too much.......jut lots of creaks, cracks and bumps.. nothing broken.

My maid felt it as a vibration here in Angeles City - but I'm retired, I don't wake up that early for anything any more.

Got a good shake here in Subic.  Woke everyone up and sent our teenager running into our bedroom.  Our 7 year old said "Earthquake", rolled over and went back to sleep!  The initial shaking lasted quite long, maybe 20 seconds?
