Popular Post OnMyWay Posted August 8, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2021 (edited) I have known about this hotel for several years and thought about going there before. Now with Covid, with restrictions on children and travel, my wife has turned into a pro researcher for places that will accept children. This hotel will accept children ages 5 and up. We have found that Clark Freeport has more relaxed rules for kids, compared to Subic Freeport or any of the surrounding provinces. And we are having a really bad monsoon season in Subic. Get over the coastal mountains and the weather improves quickly. Over the past months, we have been to several places in Clark and had no problems with the kids. School starts tomorrow so no more traveling for a while. The Mansion is only open for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. With the rainy day promo, our one bedroom family suite was about p7000, including a good breakfast for 3 heads. You could choose from several breakfast choices and it was fairly good. We had it served poolside and that was really pleasant. We ate dinner there too. Not very impressed with the dinner food but the amenities far override that small downside. The staff was excellent! All very nice and accommodating to every request. Check-in was supposed to be 3 pm and they let us check-in at 12! (We have noticed that many hotels have changed check-in from 2 to 3 pm. Extra sanitizing, I think.) They when we checked out around noon, they had no problem letting the kids play in the indoor playroom after check-out. I don't think the hotel is very old. Maybe 5 to 10 years? Hard to tell because it is extremely well kept up. Everything is clean, pools are sparkling, etc. Rooms are modern. Good wifi. There is a main hotel building, and then several other buildings that are 2 story hotel villas, long term rentals and maybe long term lease condo style. We saw one younger expat by the villa pools and the guard told my wife he was a long term resident. We were the only guests in the main hotel building! There was a group of 6 in one of the two story villas. That's it! We felt spoiled but sad for the owners and workers. I was generous with my tips and they deserved it. It is a great family place because they have so much to do: -- 2 pools at the main building (one with shallow kiddy area) and another pool area with large pool with slide, lap pool and large whirlpool. -- Indoor game room with billiards, foosball, air hockey, large TV and lounge area. -- Adjoined to the game room, children play room with lots of fun stuff for the kids. -- Outdoor playground -- Firepit with outdoor movies, weather permitting. Free popcorn but the machine was broken. -- Outdoor giant chess. -- 2 beautiful tennis courts, free, bring your own equipment. -- Free loaner bicycles, but they didn't really have one big enough for me. My wife and kids peddled around. -- There is a jogging / walking / cycling path that goes around the adjacent baseball fields. Our 2nd floor room overlooked this pool. Website: https://themansionatthevillages.com/ Gameroom and baseball field. Firepit view to playground and view to movie screen. The night was beautiful last night! Low temps, low humidity and no rain! Since we were the only guests for the movie, my kids got to choose. They were mesmerized by a Barbie mermaid movie on the big screen! We all slathered on the Off! but did not notice moskies around the bonfire! This is the other pool area by the villas.
