Popular Post earthdome Posted September 18, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 18, 2021 2 years ago my wife found a small calamansi at the garden center at walmart. That is her prized plant and for being so small provides many fruit. Of course during the winter it is a small decorative plant in our living room. 5

Graham do you do anything special to care for it? Earthdome... Would you happen to know the variety your plant is? Would you happen to know the variety your plant is? No idea. The tag that came with it is long gone. It is small, no more than 2 feet in diameter in any direction. It currently has 3 - 4 dozen fruit on it. 1

Just planted in amongst other young bushes and trees, and watered each day during the dry season. On a slope, so presumably well-drained...though clay soil. It's about 6 feet tall now, and we'd already taken some fruit from it before I took that pic. 1
Freebie Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Kalamansi is a briliant fruit, with outstanding juice ( and lots pips/seeds !) and Ive seen in some provinces that its very easy to grow. As I live in a condo hard to grow much on my balconies but a couple months ago I planted some chia seeds just to see what would happen...darn.. they are now maybe 1.5 feet tall and the leaves are brilliant in salads. So are chili plant leaves that I also grow. Tried with flax seeds but that doesnt seem to work in same way.
Guy F. Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 I've found Kalimansi to be a very good treatment for colds/flu. Don't just ask for Kalimansi juice- ask for strong Kalimansi juice.

I bet there is a large dose of Vitamin C in your strong Calamansi juice.

Forum Support Popular Post Tommy T. Posted September 20, 2021 Forum Support Popular Post Posted September 20, 2021 L bought a calimansi plant from a guy for P150. She does not know the name of the type of plant, but knows that it is a grafted hybrid. I picked three fruits from it today already. It is maybe .3 meters tall and .3 meters in diameter. It is also looking very healthy and is thriving in our heavy, orchard soil...
