Not in my experience, at least not as much as the Japanese and Hong Kongese in my experience. That said, my wife is a tad paranoid about health "stuff" - perhaps as a result of being poorer and unable to afford big medical bills in the past.

Sorry to disappoint you but you married into a typical family,,,,,unless we are related by marriage anyway :hystery: an facebook has not helped at all lol.

My wife, inlaws and siblings are always trading the "latest" health tip, herbal cure and antidot.

According to the definitions.... its a mental disorder. I wouldn't consider people as such unless they are morbidly preoccupied with their health, continuously anxious and fearful, etc., and always in doubt about even medical test results.

Come to think of it..... maybe its more common in western countries due to corporate medical and pharmaceutical advertising, not to mention the daily news and social media health scare feeds.

The older you get, the more attention you pay to your aging biology as it wears out or breaks down.

Very semi-humorous post intent ?  There are the whingers, and there are the stoics. Sometimes hard to walk the line. I'd rather hear of the wife's bio-problems than run the risk of her ignoring them to her/our later regret.

Don't laugh, I haven't met a PI that isn't related yet. The wife when she goes shopping always has to go to the chemist for her health kick supplement's.  :whistling:

I refuse to answer your question on the grounds that my own health may suffer (pssst - wife sometimes uses my computer).

I tend to find it's a mixture of very little education in health care and medical centres making money. Of three girls I know including a nurse they all believe you catch the flu from rain not a virus.

All three girls have been to the medical centre for medicals to get employed.  Each one has had bloods done that came back clear yet were sold suppliments and in two cases antibiotics ( just in case.)

They also reglarly rave about the miracle cures you can ge online.  So good that they'll get them when not even ill.
