Now it is coming back to bite them in the and just giving the doubters more ammo. Wife and I were both fully jabbed, got da 19 and both fully recovered....just as advertised If we cut to the chase, i doubt it would have made any difference how much it was stressed that the vaccines won't prevent Covid - those of us who took it would still have because it still makes sense and those who didn't would still have found reasons to justify their decision. 6
OnMyWay Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 I got a Moderna booster today, almost exactly 5 months after my last AZ. I asked for my wife, who has Pfizer, and they said minimum 4 months. That is here in Subic Bay Freeport. My plan worked. They announced a few days ago they would have 500 booster shots for A1-A3 residents today. First come, first served, expect long queues, priority for seniors, 8 am 4 pm. I had no desire to spend hours waiting. I went at 2:20 pm and I was the only senior. I was escorted from booth to booth, and even with extra time for high BP, out by 3 pm. SBMA is still messed up on the BP. My first reading on a machine was 186/72. There is no way my diastolic can be 72 if the systolic is 186. The machine was low bat or something and took forever. So they had me wait a while and manually, read me at 170/110, but the cuff was too small. So then after the jab, they read me on another machine at 150/96, with a small cuff wrapped on my forearm! Didn't feel the jab and no side effects yet.
BrettGC Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Had my booster on Friday, Moderna this time around after my initial 2 being Pfizer. Sore arm until Sunday, bit of a headache Friday night that was easily cured with some single malt in a zoom room with some mates 1

You 2 both had a different booster to your initial 2 doses. Was this a choice or simply the way it turned out? From what I've read, the booster can be of the same brand as the initial 2 (unless the 1st 2 were Sinovac) OR Pfizer/Moderna/AZ i.e, if you had 2 x AZ the booster can be Pfizer/Moderna or AZ. The current advice is if you've had one type as you're initial it's a good idea (for medical reasons I'm not qualified to explain) to have something different for your booster. Yes I was given the choice so I went for the different one.

For me, it was what they had today and I had a preference for Moderna. Seems like Pfizer has a history of more short and long term side effects. Hope it helps. Today Olongapo announced 45 new cases. 41 were were fully vaccinated. 2

The Moderna jab has made all my glands in my neck feel swollen and sore, along with a headache. Started about 6 pm and seems to be easing at 11 pm. Took some paracetamol earlier and will repeat at bedtime.
Gator Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Got my booster shot last week, Moderna. First two shots were also Moderna. Soreness in my arm this time felt worse, could barely lift my arm the next day, but by the end of day three the pain was mostly gone. Also this time, the following morning had sever cold chills that lasted about 4-5 hours followed by fatigue.
