Try telling that to thousands of idiots on the BI Facebook page. So many idiots in this world that I give up. Oh thats the foreigners and then you have the #loveisnottourisam wankers and then the blind. So much shit everyday. From now on I will remind foreigners that complain every day on FB that we are taking good care of their women while they can not enter the country. 2 1 3

You may chuckle about taking care of their women, there's a Facebook page where couples post photos of themselves and write a few lines explaining the government is keeping them apart and breaking relationships, pleading for the borders to be opened back up. Lets just say I recognise a few of the girls and have seen how loyal some are. 2 1 5

They already suspend face to face classes. Now this. I'm not sure if it is going to effect our kids enrolled in Freeport private schools, but I have a feeling it will. Follow up. We found out that Olongapo DepEd has jurisdiction over SBFZ schools, and as in the graphic above, Olongapo is out Jan 17-28, 2 weeks. However, that graphic is inaccurate in that the underlying memo it was created from clearly says that private school have discretion. One of the two private schools we used called a parent council meeting on Saturday to discuss option. At least they sought input. Most on the council (my wife is on it) said they did not want a break. However, in the end it was agreed that they would take a one week break this week. Today is a local holiday so the break is only 4 days. However, our other school is taking the full 2 week break. So we have 2 kids on 1 week and 1 on 2 week break. Most have minor symptoms like a cold / flu. Sounds like Omicron to me but the Philippines has little capability to determine that. I was looking at the latest Olongapo stats. 55 new cases and I think 2 or 3 were unvaccinated. Below is the format they put out everyday. Do other cities do this? This has me wondering. What vaccine did each vaccinated person get? At the beginning, most were getting Sinovac. I wonder if a lot of these are Sinovac. Jan 14th goverment announced that fully vax can enter from the 16th Feb but it does not mention tourist so I would say it just mean no more red, green, yellow list countries. PH to allow entry of fully vaxxed foreigners starting Feb. 16 MANILA – The Philippines will allow the entry of fully vaccinated foreigners starting February 16, Malacañang said Friday. In a Palace briefing, acting presidential spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said the new guidelines, which were approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), would require foreigners to present proof of full vaccination against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and to undergo additional protocols. “Beginning Feb. 16, 2022, proof of full vaccination shall be made a requirement for entry of all foreign nationals allowed to enter the Philippines,” he said. Nograles, however, noted that the following groups are exempted from the requirement: -children below 18 years old -people medically unable to receive the vaccine, as certified by a competent public health authority in the country or port of origin -foreign diplomats and their qualified dependents or 9(e) visa holders He said the Department of Transportation (DOTr), through the Civil Aeronautics Board, has been directed to mandate the airlines to require foreigners traveling to the Philippines to present proof of full vaccination prior to boarding flights to any points in the Philippines. Meanwhile, Nograles said the national Covid-19 vaccination certificates of Colombia, Iraq Monaco, Italy, Tunisia, and Vietnam shall be accepted for purposes of arrival quarantine protocols, as well as for interzonal or intrazonal movement, in addition to other countries or territories whose proofs of vaccination the IATF has approved for recognition in the Philippines. The Bureau of Quarantine, the DOTr-One-Stop-Shop, and the Bureau of Immigration are directed to recognize only the proofs of vaccination approved by the IATF.
