BrettGC Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Have you checked PAL? $1500AUD or so for Sydney, Manila and a throwaway to Hong Kong, well that's what it was a couple of weeks ago.

Manilla will be about the same.
Popular Post Joey G Posted January 31, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 31, 2022 It really pays off to learn how to use "Google Flights"... the day-day variance in airline prices is often significant. Even specific airline prices can swing 50% +/- depending on the time of day you leave. There's a way to view prices graphically for 11 months out which is good for planning. Airline prices can change almost by the minute, so repeated checking can pay big benefits. Just looking now... Melbourne - Manila - One Way/Non-Stop- March 26-$1344... and then April 5th-$539 One thing I did notice... often when one airline adds a new flight destination, it inevitably results in other airlines restructuring their fares. This is bcoming more common now with countries opening up. When I find a price that meets my needs, I buy from the actual airline site... it's easier to get refunds and/or make changes directly with them.

They choose tall single male passengers to be at the emergency exit doors. I've had great luck with this. One tip is to be early at the check in to ask.
BrettGC Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 (edited) It's one of the few times I'm glad I'm a short arse (5'7") but I normally pay for the emergency exit seat option if possible. Leg room aside, you don't have people climbing over you or have to climb over anyone. Edited February 2, 2022 by BrettGC
Snowy79 Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 I had a shock when looking at flights to the usual visa run locations from the Philippines. My 3yrs is up tomorrow and although I'm doing a motion of consideration I aimed off and looked a flights out of curiosity incase they say I have to leave. It's cheaper to fly to Scotland return than to some of the nearby locations. Many airlines are also not showing any flights. 2 1
