This has been running for a few days and just to clear up a point, Australia dose not require you to have medical cover to visit Australia. If you want to work in Australia you need health cover approved by the immigration department. Now like the question has been asked, is the medical provider cover adequate for the visa stay, who will implement the authenticity of the policy. I don't believe they have the medical tools in place at the point of arrival to enforce this procedure at this time. I believe they will be opening up a can of worms with litigation and tarnish their countries name as a destination of tourism. I think it is another thought bubble that will be changed, other countries have tried it and it doesn't work. A foreigner can't get medical care unless he forgoes his ATM card or the request for help is denied with a " Sorry sir were full ".
