Freebie Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Hoping that other SRRV holders can share info here as far as the "new rules" whereby tourists are now allowed in , as long as onward ticket and travel insurance and RT PCR etc. One would " assume" ( always a dangerous thing to do here ) that such conditions dont apply to we SRRV holders, however, we all know one flight clerk or BI officer not familiar with the distinction between an arriving tourist and an SRRV holder might prevent things going smoothly. Anyone with real info on this situation, please feel free to post. Would be good Will be emailing PRA next week to ask but given that they reply occasionally not holding my breath. Would be good if they posted updated info on their website too but that seems too difficult. Maybe its on their facebook page but I refuse to use FB. Do you actually have a SRRV in hand?

Clermont Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Why is it people post, {one official doesn't know from another what the rules are,} There's foreman/supervisors to speak to if you have proof you are correct, I've always found them helpful when confronted with a problem.

If you wish to keep up todate with things in the Philippines Facebook is a must. Takes 5 mins to set up just to use as a means of reading posts. It doesn't even have to be your name that you use or have any friends on it. The reason being Facebook gives free data to the Filipinos where as accessing Government sites uses data. Almost every Government announcement I've seen appears on their official Facebook account long before it appears on the Government site and contains more detailed information.

I remember few years ago trying to depart from Mactan, I did have some minor issue about my visa with the usual conflicting advice. BI FB answered my query quickly which I printed out. The BI airport officer refused to allow me to exit until I politely showed him the letter from FB BI, once he read it problem over so yeh FB has its uses. 6
