OnMyWay Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 (edited) There is a lot in the news about fuel prices but I am not sure if I have seen anything about the PH prices. I just filled my Trailblazer. Diesel, 70.94 litres at 56.61 per L = 4016 pesos. About $4.17 per gallon. $78. There is one guy to thank for the rise in global fuel prices that started in January 2021. And now the Ukraine situation is adding fuel to the fire. Edited February 19, 2022 by OnMyWay

That's really not that bad, about the same price as it is in Australia right now. Traditionally Philippines fuel prices have been on the cheaper side for Asia but they're pretty much on par now.

Hawaii is always among the highest. It is all relative to past prices. It wasn't that long ago I was paying 25 pesos a litre. I just looked here: https://gasprices.aaa.com/state-gas-price-averages/ California is higher than Hawaii, which is ridiculous, considering the logistics. It is all taxes, which they then flush down the toilet on projects like a bullet train from the South boondocks to the North boondocks.

Now you're making me wonder... is Subic higher than Eastern Samar? I got a make a trip and find out !

In Sweden we pay 115 pesos/liter right now for the diesel, most of it is taxes of course 1

When I moved here 10 years ago, Subic Bay Freeport had lower prices than the rest of Luzon. Now they have higher prices. We have a few discount stations, but my Trailblazer had issues when I used the cheap diesel.
