The US Pres was the one to block Russian gas to Europe. That started the price spiral. Putin is now selling his oil to China and India for a higher price than he used to get from Europe. What practical reason would Putin have for giving a crap? He's having a laugh. The sanctions did not work. They did not force Putin to end his war. They only showed Putin that his economic clout is larger than his military power. So the higher price will only end on Biden's decisions, in my opinion.

U.S. policy changed in January 2021, and started the upward trend globally. U.S. energy policy heavily impacts energy prices worldwide as they are the #2 consumer of energy behind China and #1 consumer of oil in the world. When the leader of the free world declares war on fossil fuels, it impacts the world. Hopefully prices will recede some if Putin stops this nonsense war, but they will still have a long way to go. This Philippines graph is USD per liter of gasoline. Red arrow points to around January 2021. Gold arrow points to around Feb. 22 when Putin invaded Ukraine.

Dave Hounddriver Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 I would suggest walking, but the price of the food that fuels your body is also up. I suppose I am not justified to be sitting in my La Z Boy playing on the Internet 2

I pay $9 for one of your gallons and that works out to $117 for a 50 liter (13 US gal) tank. So even converting to US$ that is $90. Maybe your tank was not empty? You must be rich to fill you tank when it is not yet empty.

Premium was right at $6.00 and I got ~13 gallons or so.
